The Thunder Bay Kings will be hosting an Alumni Showcase Game Tuesday, Aug. 12 at the Tournament Centre from 6-8 p.m.
The contest will feature two teams made up of former Thunder Bay Kings players that will play against each other in the showcase, which is being played as a tribute to the late Jim Johnson who was instrumental in the Kings organization being formed.
All of the players are currently playing at high levels of hockey including all former Kings who are in the National Hockey League.
The two sides will be coached
by former Kings coaches.
Admission for the game will be $5 for adults while children under 12 who donate at least one canned food item, which will go to the local food bank, will get in free.
Proceeds from the Alumni Showcase will go to George Jeffrey Children's Treatment Centre, Thunder Bay Boys and Girls Club and the Children's Wish Foundation.
There will also be an autograph session following the game for fans.
