NOHL playoff tourney awaits U13 & U15 Kings in the Soo

THUNDER BAY – A trip to Sault Ste. Marie is on tap for the Thunder Bay under-13 and U15 Kings where they’ll take part in their respective Northern Ontario Hockey League playoff tournaments.

The U15s begin Friday morning at 9 a.m. as they take on the host Soo Jr. Greyhounds.

Following that, a 3 p.m. encounter versus the Sudbury Wolves awaits the Kings.

Saturday’s slate has the U15s meeting the North Bay Trappers at 10:30 a.m. before they finish up with the Timmins Majors at 8:30 p.m.

As for the U13 Kings, they too commence round robin play Friday when they face-off with North Bay at 11 a.m., then conclude the day when they meet Sudbury in a 5:30 p.m. puck drop.

Their lone contest Saturday has them going up against the Soo U13s at 4 p.m.

Sunday’s docket for both Kings’ clubs will be determined on their initial results as NOHL semifinal and championship games will be held.
