Major midget Kings to commence 2018-19 campaign this weekend

HUNDER BAY – The 2019 TELUS Cup-host Thunder Bay major midget Kings are gearing up to commence their AAA hockey season this week as the club travels to Eden Prairie, Minn., for a four-game set against U.S. under-18 competition.

Thunder Bay’s initial contest will be Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET vs. Team North Dakota.

A pair of tilts awaits the squad Saturday beginning with an 11:15 a.m. encounter with the Twin Cities Roughriders before wrapping up the day with a 6:30 p.m. match-up against the Minnesota Blizzard.

They will then wrap-up the weekend Sunday afternoon as they take on the Madison Capitols at 12:30 p.m.

The major midget Kings will begin play in the North American Prospects Hockey League later in the month while competition for them in the Lakehead Junior Hockey League awaits in October.
