Midget Kings return to NAPHL play this weekend

THUNDER BAY – Both the Thunder Bay major and minor midget Kings sides are off to Troy, Mich., this weekend for Round 3 of North American Prospects Hockey League play.

The major midget under-18 Kings commence play Friday as they take on the Connecticut Elite at 2 p.m.

A pair of tilts awaits the squad Saturday as they meet Pursuit of Excellence of Kelowna, B.C., at 9:15 a.m. before concluding the day vs. Meier AAA of Michigan at 5:15 p.m.

Sunday has them squaring off against the Tampa Scorpions at 3:30 p.m. before concluding Round 3 of NAPHL action Monday at 11:15 a.m. when they tangle with the New Jersey Titans.

As for the minor midgets, they have two games on the docket Friday beginning with a 10:15 a.m. encounter with the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders before finishing up with the California Titans at 8:15 p.m.

Saturday features a 2 p.m. contest vs. Kelowna’s Pursuit of Excellence under-16 side before they face-off with the Colorado Springs Tigers Sunday at 11:30 p.m.

The U-16 Kings then finish off vs. Connecticut Elite Monday at 7 a.m.
