Peewee Kings heading to Duluth for 4

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay peewee Kings will be off to Duluth, Minn., this weekend for a four-game exhibition series.

The Kings will take on the Duluth East Greyhounds twice Saturday beginning with a 1 p.m. face-off before wrapping up the day with a second match-up at 7 p.m.

Sunday sees the Kings meeting the Hermantown Hawks at 9 a.m., in a contest that will also be played in Duluth, before they travel to nearby Cloquet to tangle with the peewee Lumberjacks at 1 p.m. to conclude the trip.

This will serve as a tune-up for the club heading into the Hockey Northwestern Ontario district AAAA peewee and bantam championship March 11-13 in Thunder Bay.

It will also mark the Kings first out of town competition since they were crowned champions of the Minnesota Gone Wild tournament last month in Blaine, Minn.
