Schedule announced for U15 AAA Border Battle

The Thunder Bay Kings have announced the game schedule for the upcoming under-15 AAA Border Battle, which goes Feb. 13-16 at the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre.

The eight-team, two-division event will feature the U15 Kings in a Canadian Division with the Soo Jr. Greyhounds, as well as Manitoba’s RINK Hockey Academy Nationals and the Pilot Mound Buffaloes.

Making up the four squads in a U.S. Division will be the Duluth East Greyhounds; Edina Hornets; Grand Rapids Thunderhawks and Hermantown Hawks.

Thunder Bay opens the tournament Thursday versus Hermantown at 5 p.m.

They’ll then square off against Duluth East Friday in a 7:30 p.m. start.

Saturday’s docket for the Kings will be noon meeting with Grand Rapids before finishing up round robin action against Edina at 7:30 p.m.

The top two squads in each division will then advance to the semifinals the morning of Feb. 16 while the championship game goes that Sunday, at 2:30 p.m.
