Kings to kick off NAPHL play Thursday

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Thunder Bay major and minor midget Kings are off to Blaine, Minn., this week to commence play in the North American Prospects Hockey League at the Schwan Super Rinks.

Game action for the major midget under-18 side starts Thursday at 2 p.m. as they take on HC Dallas.

Friday sees them facing off with the Valley Forge Minutemen of Pennsylvania at 10 a.m.

Two more tilts is on the U-18s slate Saturday starting with an 8 a.m. game vs. the St. Louis Selects before they wrap-up the day against the Arizona Bobcats at 6:30 p.m.

Providing the opposition in the major midget’s final NAPHL contest will be the Minnesota Elite Metro North squad with that match-up scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

As for the minor midget Kings, they too open up NAPHL play Thursday as they square off with the Colorado Springs Tigers at 8:30 a.m.

All NAPHL games are available online, on a pay-per-view basis, at FASTHockey.com.

Next up will be the Meier AAA of Western Michigan at 4:30 p.m.

Friday sees the under-16 Kings taking to the ice at 12:30 p.m. vs. the Minnesota Blades.

Team Wisconsin will be the minor midgets’ opponent Saturday with that contest slotted to begin at 10:45 a.m.

The U-16 Kings will then conclude the first installment of NAPHL action Sunday at 11:30 a.m. vs. Pursuit of Excellence from Kelowna, B.C.
