The Thunder Bay Kings AAA Hockey Organization is strengthening its financial structure to support long-term sustainability and transparency.
We are seeking committed professionals who want to use their financial expertise to make a meaningful impact in our community.
You in turn will play a key role in ensuring strong financial governance and operational excellence across multiple teams and budgets.
With that, the Kings are now recruiting individuals for Two Key Volunteer Roles:
🔹 Treasurer – Financial Oversight (CPA Preferred)
A governance-focused role responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, including:
Financial review and reporting
Audit leadership and liaison
Oversight of internal controls and compliance
Support and leadership on special projects
Collaboration with the Board, Treasurer–Controller, and team managers
🔹 Treasurer – Finance Operations (Controller Role)
A hands-on leadership role focused on day-to-day financial management, including:
Managing the finance workflow and processes
Working closely with team managers, Treasurer–Oversight, and the Board
Overseeing a paid bookkeeper
Ensuring all transactions are complete, accurate, and properly documented
