HUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Kings announced their plans for the traditional Hockey House being held at the same time as the TELUS Cup. According to Hockey House organizer Michael Simeoni the facility is designed for people to “connect with friends and old teammates, grab food and beverages, take in some local live music, and celebrate our rich Northwestern Ontario hockey tradition. Plus, watch all TELUS CUP action LIVE as the midget games will be streamed from the Fort William Gardens.
The Hockey House will operate daily from noon to 1 a.m. in the Fort William Curling Club during the TELUS Cup. The week-long celebration will include nightly entertainment with live bands on Monday through Wednesday and a DJ the remainder of the week.
Hockey House will be hosted by long time hockey player and coach Dave Bragnalo who is inviting the public to “Take in the NWO Sports Hall of Fame exhibit celebrating the rich hockey culture within Northwestern Ontario.”
Simeoni announced that Monday will be the TELUS CUP “kick off” party, Monday’s band is “EDLA”, Admission is FREE Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is Student’s night – present your LU or Con College ID and get in for free. On Friday night, Molson will be hosting a Party and Saturday will be Alumni Day where we celebrate all our past Thunder Bay Kings hockey players and coaches.
Tuesday’s entertainment is “Plan B” and Wednesday is “JB Band” each playing from 9:30 p.m. – 1 a.m.. The DJ will be playing the hits from 8:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
Admission to the Hockey House is free except for Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. onward where the price will be $5 per person.
Thunder Bay Kings raffle tickets will be available in the Hockey House and in the Fort William Gardens during the games.
Five Grand Prizes will be awarded with a value up to $2,000 each!
One lucky winner will walk away with 2 Tickets to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2019-20 NHL season along with airfare and accommodations.
