Kings’ clubs both go 1-3 in GTHL action

The Thunder Bay Kings wrapped up their latest round of Greater Toronto Hockey League competition over the weekend, with the under-15 and U18 sides both going 1-3.

Beginning with a 7-2 setback against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, the U15s got a goal and an assist from Cooper Disher.

Also scoring for Thunder Bay was Mason Glousher.

Next came a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Vaughan Kings.

Finding the back of the net in the loss was Ethan Williamson and Disher.

Rebounding, the U15s knocked off the North York Rangers 6-4.

Owen Trevisanutto notched a hat trick in the triumph while Cullen McCormack tallied twice and Jack Koski supplied a single.

Michael Pucci chipped in with two assists and Kainaan Macgillivray picked up the win in net.

The squad were then crowned 7-1 by the Toronto Marlboros, in match-up that saw Gavin Godick provide the lone Thunder Bay marker, with help from Glousher.

As for the U18s, they were shutout in each of their first three contests, before rebounding for a victory in their finale.

They were blanked by the Toronto Jr. Canadiens (7-0); Toronto Titans (3-0) and the Toronto Red Wings (4-0) prior to a triumph versus the North York Rangers (5-3).

The teams will resume GTHL play Jan. 16-19 with the U18s having five games on their docket, and the U15s, four.
