Kings’ U18s to take on Pilot Mound at home this weekend

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay under-18 Kings will see their initial home ice action this weekend as they’ll take on the Pilot Mound Buffaloes Hockey Academy of Manitoba in a three-game set at Fort William First Nation Arena.

Play will get underway Friday when Thunder Bay and Pilot Mound face off at 6 p.m.

That will be followed by a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday as the Kings and Buffaloes meet for a second time.

They’ll then conclude things Sunday morning at 10 a.m., back at FWFNA.

Pilot Mound are members of the 20-team Canadian Sport School Hockey League while the Kings are gearing up for another season competing in the Greater Toronto Hockey League.

Opening round GTHL competition for all four of Thunder Bay’s AAA programs goes October 13-15.
