Showcase in Sault Ste. Marie awaits peewee Kings

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay peewee Kings are off to Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., this weekend for a four-game series vs. a pair of worthwhile opponents as they compete in the Soo Jr. Greyhounds Showcase.

Thunder Bay will take on a strong Soo Jr. Greyhounds twice and will do likewise against the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies from suburban Detroit, Mich.

The Kings will commence play Friday at 6 p.m. when they take on the host Greyhounds, who are 10-0 to start their season.

Next up will have the peewees tangling with the once-beaten Grizzlies at 9 a.m. Saturday before meeting the Soo once again later in the day at 6:30 p.m.

Wrapping up the Showcase is an 8 a.m. match-up with Oakland Sunday.
