4-game series in Minnesota awaits U-18 Kings

HUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay major midget Kings will once again be on the road this weekend as they travel to Hermantown, Minn., for a four-game set against under-18 competition.

 
After finishing with a 3-1 record during this past weekend’s Minnesota Blizzard Showcase in Eden Prairie, Minn., the club with take on both the Duluth Northern Wings and Team Copper Country formed out of the Upper Peninsula Michigan communities of Houghton, Hancock, Jeffers and Calumet.

Game action for Thunder Bay begins Saturday vs. Duluth at 1 p.m.

They will then take on Copper Country later in the day at 9 p.m.

Sunday sees the Kings meeting Copper Country once more in a 1:30 p.m. start before wrapping up the weekend at 6 p.m. against the Northern Wings.

Both the team and the Thunder Bay minor midget Kings will then commence North American Prospects Hockey League play Sept. 20-23 in Blaine, Minn.
