Peewee Kings to represent region at Ontario Winter Games

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay peewee Kings will be representing northwestern Ontario at next month’s Ontario Winter Games, March 1-4, in Orillia, Ont.

An eight-team field of AAA peewee teams from across the province will converge in Orillia to compete in the men’s hockey portion of the Winter Games.

The Kings first contest will be Friday, March 2 as they take on the Sun County Panthers from the Windsor area at 8 a.m.

Next up will be a 6 p.m. encounter vs. the Ottawa 67’s later in the day.

They will then conclude round robin play against the Nickel City Sons from Sudbury on Saturday, March 3 at 12 p.m.

The top two teams from Pool A & Pool B will advance to the semifinals on the evening of March 3.

Those four clubs will then vie for medals Sunday, March 4.
