Kings announce 3rd quarter CCM Hockey performer award recipients
THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Kings announced Thursday their third CCM Hockey quarterly performer award recipients for the 2015-16 season.

MAJOR MIDGET – Logan Mihalcin, Defence: An assistant captain with the major midgets, Mihalcin has played with the Kings organization in four seasons at the peewee, bantam, minor and major midget levels.
The 16-year-old defenceman helped the squad capture the Troy Top Shelf tournament in Troy, Mich., last month.
He also averaged close to a point-per-game in Thunder Bay Jr. B league play with four goals and 15 assists in 21 outings.
In Grade 11, Mihalcin is an Honour Roll student at Westgate High School and is in the post-secondary business program. He also has athlete of the year laurels to his credit.
MINOR MIDGET – Fletcher Anderson, Forward: Anderson finished second on the minor midgets in scoring this season in the Kings first season in the North American Prospects Hockey League.
In 24 games he tallied 10 times and assisted on nine others for 19 points. He also shared the club lead in game-winning goals with two.
Anderson also paced the team offensively in Thunder Bay Minor Hockey Association midget AA play.
The 15-year-old forward spent last season with the Norwest Stars bantam AA side where he earned most valuable player honours from the Thunder Bay Minor Hockey Association.
He also achieved an 80% average in high school last year.

He along with netminding partner, Jordan Smith, have backstopped the Kings to a dozen straight victories, including winning the Star of the North tourney in Grand Rapids, Minn., in January and a four-game sweep vs. competition from Minnesota in St. Cloud, Minn., last weekend.
Cicigoi is an Honour Roll student as well and is in his first year of high school.
Back in 2013 he was named the top goaltender at the Big Nickel tournament in Sudbury.
PEEWEE – Jeremy Dunmore, Forward: Among the accomplishments for Dunmore with the peewee Kings this quarter was notching multiple markers to aid the team in taking home the gold medal and the championship at the Minnesota Gone Wild tournament in Blaine, Minn., in January.
The 12-year-old forward is in his first season with the Thunder Bay Kings organization.
He was a member Volunteer Pool Bearcats peewee AA side in 2014-15.
Dunmore is currently in Grade 7 and is busily preparing with the rest of his teammates to take part in the Hockey Northwestern Ontario District Championship March 11-13 in Thunder Bay.
