Kings bit by Bobcats early in low-scoring NAPHL affair

BLAINE, Minn. – A Spencer Berkley goal just 10 seconds after the opening face-off turned out to be the only tally of the night as the Arizona Bobcats slipped past the Thunder Bay major midget Kings 1-0 Saturday in a low-scoring affair in North American Prospects Hockey League under-18 play in Blaine, Minn.

Riley Morgan made 14 saves to post the shutout for the Bobcats who fired 27 shots on Thunder Bay netminder Jordan Smith, who allowed just the early marker to beat him on the night.

One final game on the first weekend of NAPHL competition awaits the major midget Kings Sunday as they take on the Dallas Blackhawks at noon.
