Kings ready for bantam provincials in Orillia

ORILLIA, Ont. – The Thunder Bay bantam Kings are in Orillia and set to compete in the 2018 All-Ontario Bantam Championship, which goes Monday through Friday.

The Hockey Northwestern Ontario title holders will be joined by six other squads from across the province in the quest to win the championship.

Thunder Bay opens up play Monday at noon as they take on the host North Central Predators.

A pair of contests will be on the Kings’ slate Tuesday beginning with a 10 a.m. encounter with the Waterloo Wolves before they wrap-up the day against the Whitby Wildcats at 4 p.m.

Wednesday’s lone match-up will be vs. the Nickel City Sons from Sudbury at 2 p.m.

They will then wrap-up round robin competition Thursday as they take on the Ottawa Valley Titans at 10 a.m. before finishing up with the Don Mills Flyers of Toronto at 4 p.m.

The top four teams will then advance to semifinal play Friday before competing for medals later that same day.
