THUNDER BAY – On-ice action awaits all five Thunder Bay Kings this weekend with the under-14 and U15s heading on the road while the U13, U16 & U18s competing at home.
The U14 Kings will head to Princeton, Minn., to take part in the Tigers Jamboree where they’ll open up play Friday at 8 p.m. versus the River Lakes Stars.
A two-game tilt will then await Saturday beginning with a 1:10 p.m. matchup against the Sauk Rapids Storm before completing the day with a 5:55 p.m. meeting with the Anoka Tornadoes.
They’ll then wrap things up Sunday as they take on the host Princeton Tigers at 1 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Thunder Bay U15 Kings are heading to Wisconsin for a three-game set with the Madison Capitols.
Game 1 goes Saturday at 11 a.m. ET while Game 2 will be held at 3:40 p.m. ET.
A Game 3 start of 10 a.m. ET Sunday will conclude the series.
As for the U13 Kings, they have a pair of Thunder Bay Minor Hockey Association contests against U15 AA teams.
They’ll take on the Fort William Beavers tonight at 7:30 p.m., which goes at Delaney Arena, then meet the Neebing Hawks in a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday at Fort William First Nation Arena.
Awaiting the U16 Kings will be a contest vs. the West End Bruins U18 AA’s Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
You also have the U18 Kings taking on the Schreiber Filane’s Falcons in a Lakehead Junior Hockey League affair Friday at FWFNA. Game time is 7 p.m.
Their next Great North U18 Hockey League contests will be November 8-9 back at FWFNA as they’ll entertain the Kapuskasing Flyers.
They currently sit tied for third, in terms on winning percentage (.750), in the standings with a 4-1-1 record.
The next Northern Ontario Hockey League competition for the U13, U14 & U15 Kings will be Nov. 14-16 in Sault Ste. Marie.
