Minor midget Kings to host Shattuck-St. Mary’s U-15s

HUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay minor midget Kings will be on home ice this weekend as they host the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Sabres under-15 Prep School side from Faribault, Minn.

Action in the opening contest of the two-game set goes Saturday at 7 p.m. at Delaney Arena.

They will then conclude the mini series Sunday at 8 a.m. at Fort William First Nation Arena.

Shattuck enters the get together with a 2-2 record after opening their campaign last weekend at the Minnesota Blades Showcase in Brooklyn Park, Minn., with victories over Team Wisconsin and the Colorado Thunderbirds while falling to the host Blades and Little Caesars out of Detroit.

Thunder Bay, who started North American Prospects League play last weekend going 3-1, also have exhibition match-ups in Duluth in mid-October before resuming NAPHL competition Oct. 20-22 in Blaine, Minn., along with the 2019 TELUS Cup-host major midget Kings.
