Peewee Kings set for OneHockey Minnesota Gone Wild tournament

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay peewee Kings are off to Blaine, Minn., this weekend to compete in the sixth annual OneHockey Minnesota Gone Wild tournament.

A total of 10 sides will be vying for the Peewee Elite Division title with Thunder Bay’s opening contest slated for 9:20 a.m. Friday as they take on the Romeoville Huskies of Illinois.

Later in the day the Kings will tangle with the River East Marauders from Winnipeg at 9:40 p.m.

Saturday has the squad meeting another team from Illinois, in the Naperville Sabres, at 8:40 p.m.

The Golden State Elite from California will then be on Thunder Bay’s docket Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

From there, the top four clubs after round robin play will square off in semifinal action at 8:40 p.m. Sunday evening with the winners there meeting in the championship game Monday at 10 a.m.
