THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay under-18 Kings will commence their 2025-26 campaign Saturday night in the first two exhibition contests against the Kapuskasing Flyers in a 7 p.m. start at Fort William First Nation Arena.
They’ll then wrap things up with the Flyers Sunday morning at 10 a.m., back at FWFNA.

This will serve as a tune-up for Thunder Bay who open up Great North U18 Hockey League action Sept. 18-21 with a four-game road trip against the New Liskeard Cubs and the North Bay Trappers.
Meanwhile, the U13 Kings have a two-game set Sunday at Current River Arena versus the Thunder Bay U15 AA Queens.
The opener is at 8 a.m. followed by a 6 p.m. nightcap.
They’ll then prepare to join the U14, and U15 Kings at the Northern Ontario AAA Hockey League Showcase, Sept. 19-21, at Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex in Sudbury.
You’ll also see the under-14 Kings heading to Moorhead, Minn., to take part in the 15-team CCM Tier 1 Showcase event.
There they’ll take on four clubs from Minnesota beginning with a 4:15 p.m. ET encounter Friday versus the Moose.
Later that night they’ll meet the Minnesota Blue Ox at 9:30 p.m. ET.
A pair of match-ups will be on their docket Saturday starting with a 2:15 p.m. ET meeting with the Blue Ox, followed by a 7:30 p.m. ET face-off against the Green Giants.
Wrapping up competition Sunday, the Voyageurs will be the opponent in a game that begins at 9:15 a.m. ET.
