Bulldogs blast Kings at OHL Cup

TORONTO – Anthony Grigg dished out five assists to lead the way offensively as the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs blasted the Thunder Bay minor midget Kings 6-0 Thursday morning in Day 3 play at the OHL Cup in Toronto.

Grigg helped send Hamilton on the way dishing out helpers on a pair of Bulldogs markers 36 seconds apart late in the first period.

He then helped set-up Marino Moro for his second goal of the game 12:23 into the middle stanza to make it 3-0 through two.

Bobby Harrison then tallied twice in the final frame sandwiched around a Michael Christiansen shorthanded effort as Hamilton completed the one-sided decision.

Tanner Sheppard posted the shutout for the Bulldogs while Seth McKay suffered the loss in net for the Kings.

Thunder Bay’s record at the 20-team event is now 1-2 as they head into their next contest, which goes Friday at 10:15 a.m. vs. the Toronto Jr. Canadiens.
