ROCKLAND, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Kings reeled off their second consecutive victory at the all-Ontario AAA bantam championship in Rockland, Ont., after slamming the Ottawa Senators 6-2 Wednesday afternoon.

Thunder Bay came out flying in the opening period as they struck three times in less than a four-minute span to take early control of the contest.

After Joseph McCollum put the Kings in front at 4:57 of the first, Owen Perala added to the margin 2:02 later.

The bantams kept coming and picked up another 99 seconds later courtesy of a Christian Veneruzzo effort.

Ottawa would get one back thanks to a power play marker at 5:32 of the frame.

The two sides then traded tallies later in the middle session with Owen Belisle putting one in the back of the net at 9:34 while the Senators got their second of the day with 48 seconds remaining in the period.

In the third, Keighan Gerrie notched another with 6:42 to go to round out the scoring.
